At CargoBeacon we usually help our customers on a project basis. A small prestudy typically provide us with the information we need to help you overcome your challenges. We love to dig right in to your challenges and come up with the optimal solution for you. An improvement project involving Internet Of Things in your operations or logistics involve at least four different steps:
Together we set business objectives defining what we want to achieve in the long run. The project initiative might come from management or working crew trying to solve, or improve, their daily work. Management and the working crew must share the same view in what to achieve with the project. The achievement should preferably be expressed in measurable metrics, based on today's situation. These measurements form the basis for comparison after improvements have been done.
We conduct a smaller PoC using existing hardware, or patched tags and access point devices . The PoC should involve as much as possible of the same processes and components as thought for a long term solution. The phase should also have a limited budget and run for a short, well defined time span. The main purpose is to collect enough data in order to evaluate the processes. Have they improved as expected?
At least one well defined iteration step should be defined where the proposed solution can be modified and taken back into operations in order to improve findings from the PoC phase. Benefits that can be achieved include quality improvements, reduced waste or cost and improved efficiency.
Once the proof of concept has been tested and optimized it is time for roll out. This step may include the design and production of custom articles adapted for the specific use case. With high volume production the aim is to gain further efficiency by expanding the concept outside the initial rollout. As the rollout is initiated it is important to have new processes in place so that the success of the roll out can be closely monitored.
We have the operational knowledge and capabilities to deliver the industrial asset tags needed for your business. The CargoBeacon information platform has the central role and tags, with or without sensors, are provided as needed. High mix, low or high volumes with unique article numbers adapted for your use is our thing.
We believe in a collaborative world, not only when it comes to business and collaborating around the best solution. We also believe in a collaborative production prepared so that robots may assist our workers to assemble devices in high volumes while maintaining high quality and minimized cost also with a local production.
Design includes all that is required to succeed in an IoT venture from product prototypes to global rollout. In our team and network, we have the resources required to succeed.
If a special solution needs to be developed for your specific needs, we are there to assist so that we together can design, or redesign, everything from first prototypes to serial devices. We understand how product requirements directly may affect everything from tag design to software architecture. When designing industrial asset tags that are to be used in thousands it becomes very important to keeping track of requirements. In the end there are often several parameters that can be fine-tuned in order to meet the required functionality and total cost of ownership as needed to succeed with the project.
