– Of course, that depends on what you want to work with. But, there are a few things that we especially love:
Master Thesis Electronics
Design a low-cost wireless device that provides historic and real time sensor data. Sensors will include time and temperature information but other sources might also be interesting. The sensors could be powered by one of or a combination of energy harvesting from solar panels or vibrations, alternatively a simple coin-cell battery. The exact details will be decided together with the applicant and based on current customer requests.
What skills do you need to have?
Most importantly, we are looking for new colleagues in potential thesis workers. Simply put – nice people. But there are some attributes and competencies that are needed for the thesis work:

Some common denominates is that we use strict version control for all source code and that we encourage development of automated tests for all software modules. Development is ongoing in a fast pace so please get in touch with us to discuss your interests.
The logger device contains embedded software written in C.
Some keywords describing development for the logger device are C, arm cortex, debugging, Bluetooth low energy, I2C, SPI and sensor programming.
The app, which obviously requires app developer competency. Today all code is natively written in Java and objective C. Some keywords describing development for the logger device are.
Web backend and front end. The web backend is hosted using open source software on virtual machines allowing redundancy both in hardware and software and forming a system that scales well from simple customer trials up to millions of simultaneous connections. The front end code relies on Angular 2, a java script framework, written by Google which provide responsive web-applications supported by multiple platforms. Keywords describing development on backend and front end are Linux, XEN, mongoDB, Angular2, git.

Develop the concept for an additional environmentally friendly, easy to use logger solution. An analysis needs to be conducted to understand all parts of the system and how to design them in best possible way for making a sustainable product, both in terms of economics and in terms of the environment. In economics lies, among other things, cost of goods, cost of manufacturing and assembly.
Other topics could involve analysing best applicable methods for measuring and logging acceleration in different environments. The exact details will be decided together with the applicant and based on current customer demands and the applicant’s previous knowledge.
